Halloween Challenge: Zombies

Happy Tuesday! Today's challenge was zombies! I am not so good with free hand nail art so I went with a safe design. Stitches! This is two coats of Sonia Kashuk Fatigued with Kiss black nail art brush. Now for pictures!! :)

Halloween Challenge: Trick or Treats

HOLY CRAP! I have not posted in so very long! :X

I apologize for my absence. I know I've said it before... but I have been unbelievably busy! I finally graduated massage therapy school and am officially licensed now!! :) YAY!

I will be able to post more frequently now but I must tell you that it may be a little while before my nails get long again!! There were at the perfect length last week. I could still easily massage and long enough where I didn't feel weird! But of COURSE one of my nails broke so I had to file all of them down :( waaahh


Okay so today I have you Zoya - Loredana. I LOVE this matte charcoal polish. I stamped with Konad special white polish... I did this mani a little while ago and forgot what plate I used... I know it was a bundle monster plate though!! :) Enjoy!

I can't remember who did a similar mani... but I love it! I didn't think of it myself :P

Nail progress!

Hi ladies! This is just going to be short post about the length I can keep my nails. I am now able to have them a little longer so I don't feel as bad!

As many of you know, I am currently in school to become a massage therapist. For some UNGODLY reason, we are not allowed to wear nail polish in class :( and naturally, we have to keep our nails short so we don't scratch people. Well, when I first started my nails were pathetically short because I wasn't use to massaging yet... now I have been keeping my nails longer and haven't had any issues with hurting anyone! So I don't have to keep them TOO unbelievably short which makes me happy! :) I just can't wait to start wearing polish on a daily basis again ;)

My nails looks kinda crappy but I plan on spoiling myself with a manicure & pedicure this weekend :)

Summery Neon Tips

Hello ladies!! I hope you all had a lovely weekend :) This is a short post but I wanted to share this with you guys. My favorite summer polishes!

I have made up my mind, I am not going to make anymore blog promises because I clearly suck at keeping up with my blog lately. :( Although, I haven't had much to blog about since I can't have my nails painted (darn school!!) BUUUUUT, I have been able to grow my nails out a liiiittle bit :) At first, they were horrible little nubs and I was so embarrassed by them! Now I can actually have them a decent length (for me anyway) and they don't get in the way.
** For those of you who recently started to follow my blog or check it out, I am in school to become a massage therapist- thus short nails :/

ANYWAY, I really do have some posts that will be up within the week :) and with summer fast approaching, I decided to do a quick post of my favorite summer polishes!

All of the China Glaze polishes are from the Poolside collection I believe lol :)

They are coincidentally my favorites! Definitely my favorite summer polish collection of all time.

BIRTHDAAAAAAAAAY :)

HI!!! Just wanted to give you guys a quick update... I turned 21 on Tuesday :) and it has been awesome being 21 so far! :P I am going out this weekend and WILL be doing my nails so I will definitely post pictures of that in a few days! I haven't had the time to do my nails lately and have severely neglected my cuticles... they look AWFUL!! I have been massaging cuticle oil in like 3 times a day the past couple days haha :)

PS that was not my cake.. but I wish it was! LOL 

Ink Flakes

Once again, this is a manicure from a while ago (hence the "long" nails lol) I have several manis that I haven't posted on my computer so I hopefully be able to post more soon :)

This is two coats of OPI Ink topped with a coat of Finger Paints Twisted. I REALLY like how it turned out.. I can't believe I haven't posted this yet!!

Meet Sophie :)

Hello ladies! I have a quick non-nail related post for you today. Yes, I know I have been terrible at blogging lately but I have been exceptionally busy lately because I got a puppy! I have been wanting one for almost two years now and I finally found the perfect one!! I had originally wanted a male but when I saw Sophie (her name at the shelter was Pocahontas lol) it was love at first sight! Her birthday was Jan 7th so she is still a baby. She is a boxer/lab mix... along with some other breeds too I'm sure. She is absolutely PRECIOUS! It's been hard to get pics of her though because she is either non-stop moving or sleeping lol. I wanted to share a couple really cute ones though :) I hope you enjoy!

HI LADIES!!!!! <3 I have missed you all terribly :( But I will be able to post more finally! I've gotten into the swing of things with work and school and hopefully I will have some extra time to paint my nails (and then remove the polish for class *sigh*) and post for you guys :) I really appreciate all of the comments and support from you guys. Thanks for bearing with me! Okay, this mani is actually from a WHILE ago! The pictures are a little blurry (sorry!) and it's not very neat but this was my first attempt at some owl nail art :D

Worst. News. Ever.

Okay so as some of you may know,  today was my first day of class in the massage therapy program. It was orientation day so we went over all the rules, got fitted for our scrubs, filled out paperwork... blah blah blah. Well, when we got to the handbook and talked about appearance there was section on finger nails. It said we had to keep them short and such which I already knew and then I read this: "No fingernail polish is to be worn in the class at anytime." ...... NO POLISH!?!?!? WHY!? Apparently, it isn't seen as "professional" :( I will probably try to sneak by with some nude polish.... My heart sunk and I seriously considered dropping the classes for a second (yes, very dramatic lol). BUT HAVE NO FEAR!!! I will STILL be posting on my blog (with polish/nail art), keeping up with my new Glitter Bomb Thursday posts and I will MOST definitely still be buying the new collections coming out... I will just have to swatch everything tho and only wear polish on weekends :( Thankfully, once I am done with the class I can (and WILL) wear whatever polish I want! And I will make sure to find a job that will allow polish. I have 450+ polishes and I do not intend to let them go unused! :)

So there you have it! Just quick venting.. I know you girls will understand/share my pain! Now I must get ready for work and enjoy the lovely polish on my nails before I have to remove it tonight.

GLITTERBOMB THURSDAY & update

Hello ladies!! As some of you may know, I am obsessed with glitter & anything sparkly (my mom calls me a blackbird hahaha)!!! So I have decided to start a weekly post for myself called GlitterBomb Thursday! I am really excited to do this :) So here is my first GB post:

I LOVE THIS GLITTER COMBO!!! I don't really care for Snow Globe over solid colored polish, but it looks FABULOUS over glitters! CMA is hands down my FAVORITE glitter in the entire world! It's so dense and super gorgeous!

As for the update... I start massage school on Monday... YAY! I am SO excited you guys!! I have been waiting to do this for a while and I'm really excited to finally start school. I will be a full-time student and I will have class Mon-Fri so I may slack off a bit on my blog. but I assure you my nails will always be beautifully polished! ;) Because of school (and the loan money that will cover most of my bills, thankfully!) my hours will be cut at work so I may actually end up having more time to spend on my blog (since I get out of school at 3 and will only be working three days a week)! The only down-side to being in school is that I will have to keep my nails very short while I'm still practicing so I don't scratch anyone :( My massage therapist is able to have her nails longer (about as long as I let mine get) and she has never scratched me but she has also had more practice! So I am warning you now... you will be seeing nubs for a while! :(

Flakie Layers

I finally have a new post for you, as promised! This is two coats of Wet N Wild - I Need A Refresh-Mint with Essie - Shine of the Times layered over top! I really like this combo :) I  bought all of the new Finger Paints special effects flakies and have been playing around with them but SOTT is much more dense so I used it for this instead. :) The WNW polish is one of the new ones that recently came out also. I bought all but three on the new display I saw at walgreens! I need to do a comparison of this and some other mint greens, I'm not sure if it's a dupe but for two bucks I won't complain if it is!
